Gallery Town - Children’s Capital of Culture is a year long programme in Rotherham in 2025, designed and delivered by young people to celebrate community, creativity and imagination. After sending in my proposal for the Young Artist in Residence opportunity and being chosen by a panel, my primary task was to creatively dress the space for the Young Maker’s Space. I transformed the venue into an eye-catching, welcoming environment that reflected the energy of the three day celebration. I used the colours and emblems of the festival to sew bunting and banners throughout the space and outsources matching vinyl stickers that complimented the theme.
